mel_schneider
Hello everyone. Hoping you can all help me out. I had acquired some studio equipment from my husbands mother and 2 lights were burnt out. The bulbs are the of the sort that you push in and turn into the unit and then the unit screws into the electrical source which is then plugged in. [i hope that makes sense.] I can't find an example online b/c i don't even really know what I'm looking for. The unit itself has the hole for a sync cord, a button to test the flash, and an on off switch. It came in a home portrait kit. I tried searching b&h for this type of bulb..but i can't find anything...like i said..I'm not sure what these bulbs are called the bulb is about 2 1/2 inches tall and it has 120v60w engraved in the metal (obviously the voltage and wattage.) anyone know where to find these bulbs? or any hints on what type these bulbs are? thanks! jmf
There's an ebay seller called "lights64" that has a wide variety of bulbs. The specialize in all the obscure modeling bulbs and flash tubes for studio lights. They're out of Chicago, and their number is published as part of their ebay store. They do encourage you to call if you're not sure. I would have one of the bulbs in hand when you called. http://cgi3.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewUserPage&userid=lights64
stephen_kruft
The bulbs that push and turn like that are called bayonet mount bulbs. Being of that low wattage they are presumably modeling lights. There are many web stores that specialize in light bulbs so you should find them with a little searching. Does the flash itself work? Replacing the flashtube will be much more expensive than the modeling light.

twmeyer
Bulbman in Reno, Nevada. There should be a 3 letter code imprinted on the bulb, as well. Something like ELB, or FEL or ELC, etc... t
