paul_sokal___dallas__tx
The 4000 is an older printer using the Ultrachrome ink set. It was replaced by the 4800 which uses the K3 inkset which has 3 blacks rather than the 2 of the Ultrachrome inkset, thus a much better B&W print. As far as I know, the addition of "pro" to both the 4000 and 4800 is a RIP is included. The new Epson printer is the 3800. It differes from the 4800 in that you don't have to mannually switch between photo and matte black and wastes much less ink when you do. Unlike the 4800, the 3800 doesn't take roll papers, but takes all cut sheet up uo 17 by 22.
