heather_claypool
Hello! I'm a new poster (but frequent visitor) here and wanted to ask a question... I'm taking part in my first bridal show next month (a small one...approx. 200 brides will be in attendance). I'm thrilled, and would like to hand something out as a giveaway in addition to my pricing sheets. I thought about wallet- sized picture frames with a wallet-sized photo business card inside, then I also thought about a large postcard with a collage of sorts and the pricing info right on the back. I want to make sure whatever I "give away" Is relevant to photography, and that it will stay with the bride until she makes a decision regarding her photographer. What I don't want is to spend a ton of money on something that will go right into the trash (so definately no candy wrappers or fridge magnets). Any thoughts on the postcards...think a bride will just add mine to her stack and toss it once she gets home?? Any suggestions?? Thanks so much! thierry nguyen cuu - nomad
How many packages do you offer? Focus on "give away" stuff in the package that you want people to buy. I would "throw in" a 20x30 print of her choice if confirmed booking AND deposit during the show. Be sure to have a few 20x30 printed to refer to when discussing with the clients. thierry nguyen cuu - nomad
Heather, <br><br> I forgot to mention:<br> In your <i>"ࠬa carte menu"</i>, be sure to put the 20x30 print and price so the bride can have a (real) value idea of the Deal. <br><br> Good luck
William Michael
>>> and would like to hand something out as a giveaway in addition to my pricing sheets. (edit) Any suggestions?? <<< Yes. Drop the pricing sheets to the same priority as the fridge magnets. There is a step by step, low budget answer here: http://www.photo.net/bboard/q-and-a-fetch-msg?msg_id=00NTA4 (My post Nov 28, 2007; 12:16 a.m.) WW WW
jim_marby
Heather, I had bookmarks printed on a heavy linen paper by Millers Lab. I had a nice set of photos of a bride & groom done lakeside. I had a shot of them from the front, on the front of the bookmark and I had a shot of them from the back, on the back of the bookmark. I received a lot of good comments on them. I'm hoping they will be put to use and my studio's name will be seen for a long time. They only cost about $50 for 200. Jim Marby
susan_flewelling1
Bottled water!! Everyone will give them sweets and rich food that they will so appreciate a small bottle of water (with your information placed on the lable of course). It will make you a very popular booth. In my early days I gave away a signature mat with a 11x14. It was a great give away that everyone loved but I have to admit it was quite a bit of work. Good luck.
