flying_tiger
Hi, I just bought a used Nikkor 50/1.4 AIS for my FM2N and I wonder what lens hood I should get for it. At B&H, they list HR-1 Rubber lens hood under this lens. Is this a dedicated hood? What are my options here? Nikon brand (what model) or generic one? Thanks for your input. todd peach seattle, washi
The recommendation is for the HS-9 or HR-1. If you like a rubber hood, the HR-1 is fine. The HS-9 is a steel hood with a lever 'snap in' attachment. www.keh.com has one used in excellent condition for $13, but the shipping will probably be almost as much. Good excuse to shop for other stuff...........
jose_francisco
You have two options: the HR-1 and the HS-9, pick up the last one.
gary_watson
I'd get the rubber HR-1. They're cheaper, do the job, and are easier to store in pockets or bags. I use them on my 50s and on my 85/1.8, too.
