nathan_stiles
Examples would be great! I've read mentions of chop and slash lighting, and an older photographer in this area called something a "hatchet light", which I thought was the same thing. What I think a chop light is, is an accent light from behind the subjetc that etchs some features-- like the jaw line. I thought slash lighting was the same, but then I read somewhere that you should avoid slash lighting-- but I love bouncing an accent from behind to trace features. So, what are these things? ronald_moravec1
Severe 90 deg side light so only one side of the face is illuminated.
nathan_stiles
Oh, I think "slash" should be "hash" lighting.
