alex_lofquist
Reading an ad in the UK magazine "Outdoor Photography", Warehouse Express had a price for the Nikon F5 at £1599, and the F5 Pro at £1999. The only thing that I could think of were the possible additions of the Multi-Control Back MF-28, and/or the MN-30 NiMH battery unit and MH-30 charger. Or is there a special F5 not generally known in the US? For what it is worth, this is a pretty nice magazine at about US$5 a copy when acquired as a two year subscription. It is a glossy, with many articles and few ads. It has been out for four years now so it looks as though it will survive.
todd peach seattle, washi
Probably not it, but a number of 'gray' dealers in the US offered 'pro packages' that included the 35-70/2.8 and 80-200/2.8 AFD lenses along with the body. The pricing was attractive, but I've been burned by these 'lowball' gray dealers so I never investigated further.
rob_malkin
I worked for Warehouse Express for a while and to be honest I would suggest that you buy from another place. The big problem is if you have a product to return you have to pay for it and send it to them with special delivery. The problem is that they will really take their time about it. I should know, I was put in charge of it. My adice would be to get the price and print the page and bring it to a Jessops near you. Jessops will match the price and have a much better returns policy. Jessops' return policy = bend over back wards so that customer does not make a scene. rob
alex_lofquist
I just did a search on Warehouse Express's site. They do show the F5 Pro as the standard F5 body plus the MN-30 and MH-30. Considering the current £/$ exchange rate, we have it pretty good over here. I expect that an eager amateur nature photographer in the UK must very carefully consider his budget when going for all the "Bells and Whistles" that we sometimes take for granted.
