What have you been shooting lately?

  1. It's basketball season.

  2. Lately? In terms of sports? Not much, but I will be shooting a lot of track and field starting this Saturday. I haven't shot much of this since I was in high school (late 70's!) but my daughter is a high school freshman who will be running 800 and 1600 meters. She may be at the Penn Relays the end of this month.

    I will post a few of the better shots . . .
  3. Captured this one a few hours ago at a local motocross track's practice night

  4. superbike races - harder than you think - they are moving.
this was before the arduous process of calibrating focus of my sig150-600 with my D600. much sharper now.

  5. Tennis with a 500 mirror, shooting across 5 courts to court #6.
Even that far out, the DoF is shallow, and it is hard to keep a moving tennis player in focus.
  6. I'm shooting my dog with a sunset background.
  7. wife trying to get shots of me in the ring. Playing with a new 24-70 lens

  8. At the local high school

  12. School year for sports is done. Yearbook is out :)
Spring was a zoo: lacrosse, baseball, softball, boys volleyball, badminton, track, boys tennis, boys golf, swimming.
Did a "what worked and did not work" session with the students.
Now to make plans for next year.

It really doesn't matter what date the original post was, since the question is open ended. "Lately" goes on indefinitely.
  14. i'm not sure that it does.

Hmm... at least 7 years, I'd
    bet... I know that's an
    arbitrary number, but my
    whole life is arbitrary...
