The SID mob goons were all over me, I shucked and dodged them all through the
stands. WSU fell hard to the Sundevils tonight.

I shot with Michael at the WSU game but I found stuff more interesting:

  13. A can of corn?
  14. LOL Barry Lyle does have the eye. I'm glad you got the track and field we had an event also but I steer clear of the bubble now.

Nice shots Christian, I love seeing smaller schools get some camera time. It may sound weird but I sometimes think the student-athletes read photonet and email their family saying, "Hey look! My picture is online"

Brian those are crazy shots, those guys are brave, nice shots. Something a little different.
  15. My mantra now is more Lyle, less Michael.
Christian has some really good hoop shots.
Brian, I really enjoy shooting cheerleaders, but sometimes it gets scary when they have to
catch the one in the air. Like your shots.
  16. LOL Barry, he now has my old D70s and he borrowed my 85 1.8. He put it to good use with that portrait.
  17. Barry here's one where I accidentally pressed the shutter. I thought I was aiming at something else:

  18. I'm better at this stuff and my wife doesn't beat me later:

  19. Great stuff guys. I have nothing this weekend. :-(
  20. Michael, I like your accident.
  21. Great shots everyone. I would like to thank Michael and Barry for the nice words about my shots. I am pretty new at this but I certainly love doing it and I think I am getting better.

For anyone who cares if you look at my shot "mismatch" in the background kneeling down is coach Jen Rizzotti one of the best players in NCAA womans history.
  22. The woman kneeling Christian?
  23. Yeah Coach Rizzotti
  24. Great shots everyone....Thanks for your kind words on my photos. (I had the correct width, but they weren't under 100k - thus the links.I'll do better next time.)
  25. JMU Men's hoops
  26. Haha sorry, no photos with the post
  27. Two handed slam.... High School....
  28. Leap of Faith.....
  29. Just Hanging Around... Though I must admit... I like Michael's accidental shutter the best.
  30. Since I'm not getting a press pass I think Lyle and I will specialize in cheerleaders. They move a little slower so we will be able to use lower ISO and have less grain.
  31. Great job everyone and I am in complete agreement on the cheerleaders. It is amazing how often they get in the way of ones line of sight. Nothing from the islands this weekend. I shot scenics and birds over on Maui.
  32. Islands+Maui=Hula
  33. Michael, do you use any noise reduction software? I regularly shoot my son's hockey games in terribly lit ice rinks with results that are no where near what I had hoped for. Usually iso 1000-1600, 250-500/sec, 2.8 in manual mode.

  34. Turned out way too dark, but our gym lighting stinks. [IMG]
  35. Hi Glenn, I do use noise reduction. It's a product called Noise Ninja. Which camera body are you using? I recently gave my D70s to a friend and he's able to get nice shots up to ISO 1000 with Noise Ninja. My D200 and D300 do great higher than that.

Mike that's actually a pretty nice shot. You got the hardest part right, the white balance. What lens did you use?
  36. Thanks Michael. It is a Minolta Maxxum 50mm 1.7 from underneath the basket.
  37. This one was with it set at 2.2 and 1600 ISO on a Sony Alpha A100.
