cbabbitt
Our University of Hawaii Warriors beat Boise State to become sole WAC Champions for the first time. It is hard to overstate how huge this is here. What a game!

cbabbitt
Michael, Congrats on the Apple Cup win. Now we have to beat the dogs and we go to a real bowl game for the first time. I am nervous. I don't think I am going to bother to shoot the Washington game. I am just going to watch and (hopefully) enjoy it. I have slide show of the Boise State-Hawaii game at www.cbabbitt.com. Sorry for the shameless pimping of my site.

trunfio
Wilson: I just love your shots. I know these are no flash. Care to share your lenses. Looks like some wide to tele. Is it a 24-70? Or did you use two lenses? I wasn't particularly happy with anything I shot for sports last week. I was mainly shooting portraits and on vacation. This is one of my better shots. Thanksgiving Day, local high school football, dense fog so I had to do everything really close. (by the way Wilson, last week's shot was a 70-200/2.8 lens, which is how I was able to shoot at f/3.5)

mharris
Wooohoooo Wilson, what a game! Man I was on the edge of my seat. I was sad to see your Huskies go down....OK not really.
morganfam7
Paul, I like that photo! I have a newbie question. I see AF = auto focus, but what is S? 300mm is focal length, but what is 4,1. (I understand f/4 and iso 800.) Thanks!

Here is what I shot last night. This is the only corner of the gym where I get good light.

trunfio
Thanks Marcy. Is this school near Boston? I used to play basketball against the St. John's Eagles. Anyway, AF-S means silent wave motor inside the lens. It allows the focusing to be faster than the previous generation of just plain AF lenses. 300mm/4 is the focal length and the maximum aperture, 1/1000s is shutter speed, f/4 is the aperture is was shot at (i.e., wide open). ISO = shutter speed. This is usual the information I like to give when I post images. For some reason I feel it's important to post the technical details. That's just me being anal. I never checked the images posted here to see if there is any EXIF data in them.
