What causes this line?

I took a roll to test out some of my problems with me not the

camera. This line is only line in all the shots this shot off the

the roll. I did not have the sun shade on when I took it.

Hopefully that might be it. The lens is an uncoated 50mm Summar the

camera is a 111a. I know it is alittle under exposed but I was

trying some test out for my self. I hope someone can help me with

this.

Thanks

Can you please clarify the following:

"This line is only line in all the shots this shot off the the roll."

If this is the only frame that has this problem, I'd say the film was loaded improperly onto the reel and it touched against the next coil during development. If all your shots on this roll have the problem, I don't know what to tell you.

Skinny, it looks like a light leak either in the camera, or the cassette got some direct light through the slit through which the film comes out. It is a bit difficult to judge not knowing which frame this happened on.If it is the first frame, the my best guess would be the film cassette/cartridge. The lens would not have anything to do with it as it does not look like a normal flare.

I am sure there will be many other guesses coming from our talented forumers.

Good luck, Tony
