michaellinder
My primary objective in working on the challenge image was to make it moodier. Initially, in NIK's Define2, I reduced three small areas of noise in the clouds. Then, in Color Efex, I used the "dark contrasts" filter to make the tonal adjustments I wanted. In PSE15, I used the dodging tool to lighten several areas, and then finished with sharpening ins NIK's output sharpener.

Glenn McCreery
I immediately thought that the pylons should keep going past the shore, so I copied a section of pylons, scaled it smaller, and pasted it on the water. I used the warp function in Photoshop CS5 to make it look continuously receding. Then I copied the tall mast, scaled it to various sizes, and pasted them in geometrically appropriate locations. finally, I added a pelican.

Gerald Cafferty
All adjustment in LR. Crop and Horizon. Auto adjust for starters. Grad filters from top and bottom and various adjustment brushes for selective exposure and colour balance. In HSL adjustments to individual colour saturation and luminance. Readjusted white and black points, applied slight vignette. Adjusted for noise and sharpness.
