mikehegarty01
Gerald thanks once again for this nice image to work with this week. 1. I copied and pasted the image into Gimp. 2. I cropped the image to put the yellow bushes in the upper left corner of the image as close to a rule of thirds intersection as I could. I that makes science. 3. I copied the layer and used the curves tool to add overall contrast. 4. I copied the layer and desaturated it and opened channels to create luminosity mask. 5. I then over the course of 5 layers I used the luminosity mask to increases contrast and brightness on the right of the image and darken the left side. I was shouting for something worm and a little dramatic. Maybe I went a little too fare.

michaellinder
Great selection, GC. Initially, I used Color Efex - used detail extractor and then low key filter. Converted to b&w in Silver Efex. Then adjusted tonality in PSE15 using levels. Finally, sharpened using Output Sharpener.

SNS-HDR then into PS for dodging, burning and exposure via levels. Focus Magic for sharpening and Topaz Studio Detail. Thanks for the photo! Matt, the tones look (at least partially) inverted. Quite interesting.

paul ron
Im not very good at PS but I gave it my best go at it. I use an old version of PhotoElemnts 6. I adjusted the brightness and contrast to make it appear dusk. Eliminated a few shadows using the clone tool Air brushed in the street light and window lights, also adding in some spill light. Hope you like the idea.. 3 The more you say, the less people listen.
