  1. You are invited to upload one or more of your landscape photos and, if you’d like, to accompany your image with some commentary: challenges you faced in making the image? your intent for the image? settings? post-processing decisions? why you did what you did? the place and time? or an aspect you’d like feedback on? And please feel free to ask questions of others who have posted images or to join the discussion. If you don’t feel like using words, that’s OK too—unaccompanied images (or unaccompanied words, for that matter) are also very much welcomed. As for the technicalities, the usual forum guidelines apply: files < 1 MB; image size <1000 px maximum dimension.

I was doing the Lightroom equivalent of doodling, and challenged myself to revisit a photo I’d processed awhile ago and find a new way of looking at it—this was the result. Dang, that was fun!

I took inspiration from Leslie this is an image I shot early this summer And have looked at it a few times could never make it work. I am not totally pleased but this is my best attempt yet.

  13. Gibbs Gardens, Ball Ground, GA. Leica M9, 35/2 wide open. Only challenges were that wide open shots aren't my usual technique and it's still hot and humid here and I kind of overtired myself! Gravity seems to have gotten heavier in the last ten years!;)

Shot below the dam that forms Mirror Lake in my earlier post. This image was shot around 5 years ago.
