This time I was going for high energy in the image—exploding waves seem to be efficient at conveying that sense. In this case it took about 20 minutes of waiting to get the image I wanted: the blowholes on the point and on the island are very rarely triggered at the same time, and only certain waves set each of them off—both the size of the wave and the angle of approach have to be just right. Due to the angle of the morning sun, it turned out to be a very monochrome image.
