by weapon i mean phone, if you shoot with your phone even just once in a while lets hear about it! Make, Model, OS, why you chose it, the pros and cons of the camera, your fave photo apps whether lenses or editors or just even photo "toys" app just for fun and how bout a fave photo you have taken with it?
mine happens to be a Nokia Lumia 920 running Windows Phone 8, i love everything about the camera but the lack of image stabilization is a bummer, best app IMO is "Thumba photo editor 3" though there are some saving issues that have popped up from the transition from WP7 to WP8
so far in the few months ive had the 920 this is my fave photo ive taken, it was total accident that i ended up witha good photo as i was taking photos of the decals as part of a conversation.

Lumia 800, running WP7.8; in my view the nicest editor on this platform is Fhotoroom (free app too), plus Nokia Creative Studio which does pretty good panoramas. While this model isn't specifically know to have a very good camera, I find it delivering really quite good quality - often better than my cheap Panasonic compact.
Got some photos here.
To me it's a pity that all new high-end phones are relatively large. I really like the size of the Lumia 800 (3.7" screen), and a model this size with high-end hardware (and WP8) would really be welcome. But apparently, I am a niche...

I'm using a Blackberry Curve, can't ever remember which one, 9360 or 9630... I use the camera frequently but don't have much experience with other phones to compare whether this one is better or not. I think it works quite well outside under natural light especially on bright days. I'm never satisfied with the flash results or low light shots. It won't stop any motion and the shutter lag is always disappointing. I have used Photo Editor for cropping and slight changes but usually wait until I get the shots uploaded and can use PS CS6. Overall, I love that I have a camera in my pocket almost always.

im glad to see somebody else here using a WP, unless they just did it, here in the states if you have a WP7 its still running 7.5 (mango) not 7.8 (tango) i was trying to hold out for it before getting 8 but my quantum died and i was able to get a refurb 920. if you like the lumia you have now youll love the wp8 versions! personally i wasnt a fan of fhotoroom, but with the glitching in thumba ill try it again! some great photos you have there also

Gup, i just spent enough time just looking at your photo that my laptop went to sleep lol
being very close to the south shore of Superior i always love photos from the north, everything is so much more beautiful! the St. Lawrence is something i don t see photos of very much if ever so its a treat for me. that Blackberry seems to take rather fine photos and i somewhat agree with you on the flash, a lot of times a flash makes the photo look worse IMO, i try to not use one at all. ever!

iPhone 5. I can't say I usr only one editing app: Photo Toaster, Snapseed, Picshop. Autostitch for panoramas. Been

using the iPhones 3,4 and 5 and am wedded to iOS in part due to software investment and part because it fulfills most of

my needs.

The shot below was taken at night with a handheld flashlight and the macro Olloclip attachment. No manipulation other

than resizing.

Edwin, that's a really cool photo!

That's it for me exactly too. I never carried my compact always everywhere, but my phone - yes. As a photo-taking device, I do not exactly love it, and for me it will not replace my DSLR. But for those sudden instants, having the phonecamera there - it's nice, and can make for more surprising shots.

Jon, all in all, WP7.8 adds little (or no) functionality but makes the home screen as flexible as WP8. Nothing earth shattering, in some ways not even an improvement (design-wise, WP7.5 was prettier, in my view). But yes, I know my next phone will be a WP8 Lumia... for what I've seen, the Lumia 720 is a really nice phone, even if the screen is a bit larger than I want. But good battery, good camera, lightweight, WP8 - there is a lot to like there. The 920 is a gorgeous phone, I think, but larger than I want.... I'd want the new 925 in the body of the 620, but not likely to happen.
For what it's worth.... I ended up with WP7 because I never got good results with Android keyboards at the time (too many typos), I did not want to spend what an iPhone costs here and my first encounters with WP7.5 were just very favourable. I like its simplicity and clarity of design. I just hope they stick to this design language. It may not have the vast functionality of Android or the familiarity of iOS, but I think it works really good and intuitive.

Samsung Galaxy SIII -- Got it because of photo comparisons I had seen and at 8mp it works nicely for me. Convenient for street photos if I don't have my Pentax K5 with me. Use the native camera, but also the Vignette app with a customized Holga filter. Also use Snapseed (great little photo editing program...wish they still made it for desktop PCs) for editing, special effects.
This is from a trip this past weekend to Springfield, Illinois. The steps of the old State Capitol building...

00bfJo-538323584.jpg.e8e9413a8030d9aff7a6b2a0f94da300.jpg

Steve, i've been hearing alot of talk as of late about snapspped but honestly im not sure what it is and its not available through the microsoft/nokia store. also i am a huge fan of grey scale photos so i love your photo, but if i may say in my personal taste the vignette it a little to heavy across the top
