richard palmer
I have had an unfortunate experience whilst considering a second hand 21/2.8 lens. I am posting this notice to assist others who may be considering the same lens that is for sale in the UK The serial number is 3212327 it is advertised by John Chandler and is in appalling condition: Water contamination, broken and glued focus ring, and has been disassembled by an amateur. It was described as being unmarked and 'obviously well looked after' The phohotgraph that was sent was taken from an angle to disguise any faults. My contention is that it is unreasonable to mis-represent goods that people are travelling to see. It is also extremely stupid as it only serves to create anger and bad feeling, and will certainly not result in any sale. You have been warned. Please pass this on to any other Leica groups in the UK as appropriate.
