wanted feature "mass" posting

What I would like is a "mass" posting page. Currently, when I create

a new folder and add a few (say 10) photo's, I have to go to "add

photo", enter some photo data, select the image file and _wait_ for

the photo to upload. This uploading can take some time because by

broadband provider (pandora.be) limits the upload speed to 128kbit.

Only after waiting for the upload the photo, I can start on the next

one.

What I would like is a mass posting page: select all your image files

at once, enter the photo data that is common to every photo, hit

the "add these photo's" button, and go drink some coffee. Or even, go

take some more photos when the upload is busy :o)

..now that would be cool!

Lieven, I doubt we will be implementing a "mass" posting feature. The main point of photo sharing on photo.net is for people to present their best work and/or photos for which they desire critique. Actually we would prefer it if people did not upload large numbers of photos, although we currently don't place any limit on the number that people can upload. Unless your work has already been very well received by the audience, it is best not to upload more than one or two photos per day. Also, if you are interested in getting ratings and critiques, it is also not in your interest to saturate the audience with many of your images at one time, especially if they are very similar. If your work has been well-received here, then you will probably find people asking you to upload more.

I agree with Richard :). I was about to post an opinion, but I think Brian very elegantly pointed what I was about to say. Some other forums have a limit in the number of photos posted in a certain period of time. But I see reluctance in trying to impose to many rules. Maybe this is what I like about photo.net - in spirit, but not always in results.
