John, I recognise Arjuna's Penance and the Shore Temple at Mahabalipuram and the earlier pictures of the Meenakshi temple at Madurai. I love Tamil Nadu but haven't been to those places for about 20 years.
Got to agree about Tamil Nadu Harry, much more interesting for being so prominently Hindu, really hospitable people (without being tourist oriented) and stunning food almost anywhere, I'll be back just as soon as I can raise enough rupees and next time I'll be spending most of the trip in TN.
