Hi all, time to share your favorite pic to the week, 1 pic only please. So a busy weekend in LA, Kings in Stanley Cup semis, Lakers in the Western Conference Semis, Dodgers playing baseball at Chavez Ravine, the freeways will be awful. I wonder if people will get away to the art museums like the Getty Villa. Leica M7, 35mm and awful reflections I had to deal with in post.
Altissa shot with Leicaflex SL and PA-Curtagon. Many pictures in my familiy's photo-albums have been shot with box-cameras like the cute Altissa. The Baltic Sea was location No.1 back then.
I was in Frankfurt for a few hours last week. Went for a short walk but the city was deserted as the occupy movement was planning a big demonstration.
So many great shots this week! Tom Higgins, those tones are incredible. I've been shooting clouds a lot lately and know how difficult that shot can be to meter and to get from film (assuming). Great shot.
Thanks Jim. In fairness the camera did nearly all the work- M8/50mm summicron set to auto, ran the (raw) file thru PS5 for levels then nik softwares color fx pro. ("pro contrast" filter) and of course, as Edward (Weston) said, "there's years of work in clouds".
Epson RD-1s + Canon 50/1.2 @ f1.2 and ISO 2400. The International Theatre, London put on Shakespeare's Macbeth at my school last week. I got a front row seat, which made shooting the play easier.
The above should read "The International Theatre Company, London." Guess what Lady Macbeth is saying in the above shot.
Very close, Paul. "Out damned spot!" comes from Lady Macbeth's sleepwalking scene. At this moment she is saying, Here's the smell of the blood still: all the perfumes of Arabia will not sweeten this little hand. Oh, oh, oh! And I shot that at ISO 2500 not 24500. Out damned error! out I say!
