Nels, that's a long phone call she made, and it cost me nearly half of my rollover minutes.

Same location, but June 3, 1956. Photographer "C.E.S.", presumably Verichrome Pan 116 or 616. (Also a riff on Nels' previous "Metro" w/nw, these streetcars are what came before Metro, before the highway people got rid of them to solve Washington's traffic problems.)<div></div>

Now, here's one that's on-location, and on topic, one person, and many (dirty) statues.

 

This was taken October 27, 1977, during the most unfortunate period of Union Station as the "National Visitors' Center", with a giant pit in the middle of the floor with a multi-screen slide show.

 

Film is High Speed Ektachrome, the last year before the switch to E-6.

 

Sorry, the camera was my Topcon Super D, probably 35mm lens, although I might have borrowed a 25mm for this outing.<div></div>
