jan_brittenson Posted March 4, 2006 Share Posted March 4, 2006 Just experimenting; background is a milky white plastic sheet fromTaps Plastics taped to a window, foreground fill is a large sheet ofcardboard with foil glued to it (my favorite directional lightreflector). Reflector clamped to a light stand and positioned abovelens axis close to subject. 1.0s f/8 with DMR and Macro 60 @ ISO 100. A little high contrast on screen, but will flatten in print (densityrange in print is much less than contrast range on screen).

<img src="http://rockgarden.net/download/L1100040-700.jpg"border=0>
Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
khi Posted March 4, 2006 Share Posted March 4, 2006 Great shot Jan-love the color. It's nice to see a DMR shot here, I haven't been seeing many at all. As a suggestion, you might also try taking a piece of white foamcore-say 24" by 36" and stretch silver lame material over one side, stapled in back, it makes a very nice fill-a little softer

Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

adrian bastin Posted March 5, 2006 Share Posted March 5, 2006 Stuart, those irises are wonderful; the orchids are the perfect foil to them. And both are a perfect foil to Keith's sane little things. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
