Mine was taken at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. On that afternoon, I was there with a friend, my original and only photography teacher. I've said before that the $85 I spent on that 3 Friday night plus 2 Saturday a.m. class at a nearby community college several years ago (the class he taught) was the most important photography expenditure I'll probably ever make.<p>

 

We try to take in a few photography exhibits in D.C. when we can. Our wives humor us.<p>

What's the name of your teacher? I often wonder if I should have taken a few photography

courses myself. Basically everything I've learned has been by shooting out on the streets.

Worked fine for me, but everyone has room for great improvement. It's hilarious the easy

shots I sometimes miss.. My wife has been with me on many occasion as I was taking pictures

as part of an evening out. She's got a great eye.
