I've already posted this one but decided to post it again. It was taken on Powell St in S.F a few months ago. I didn't really talk to this lady other then to ask to take her picture. I left Rasputin Records (slightly visible in the background) when I saw her and approached her for the picture, snapped the picture and then thanked and darted of the the Cal Train station for the train back to my fathers in San Jose. This was on a Sat and I didn't want to miss the train and have to wait around for another hour for the next and I was already cutting it pretty close. Many of my photographer friends like this picture and it has made me decide to contact Rasputin Records to ask them to tape a print of this in their window along with a post it note stating that if you are the woman in this picture please come inside and take the picture with you. I seem to recall that she was pulling a little shopping cart on wheels behind her filled with grocery bags. Therefore, I'm thinking she may be a local and maybe she walks this way on a regular basis. If so I hope she sees the picture and takes it with her. I'll post back if anything comes of this.

00bCuJ-512329584.jpg.088d3bb7ecf8bec87d15580f32af2aac.jpg

Great story and photo, Marc. I've seen her before and may even have a photo from awhile back.

Hope we can hook up next time you're up this way. Met with Eric on vacation from Vancouver two

months ago and spent some time shooting in the Mission - had a great time...

Thanks Brad. I'm certainly going to come up for the Winogrand exhibit but I'm not sure when exactly. Someone suggested that I might enjoy photographing the "hunky Jesus parade in SF that occurs around Easter time. I seem to recall seeing an article and/or pictures of this event some time back. Looks like my cup of tea!
