stuart_richardson
Also, Jason, perhaps it is a non-sequitor, but how do you get your images so sharp? They literally jump off the screen. Is it just skillful use of sharpening in photoshop? I don't apply any, but perhaps I should learn!
everitt
Stuart, I use the Unsharp Mask tool in Photoshop, and adjust the parameters until I find a condition I like for my photo. I do it after adjusting the image size, and is normally the last action I do to the photo.. I guess quite often the settings in the USM for a pic 700 pixels wide would be around: Amount=100%, Radius 0.5-1.0 pixels, and Threshold =2-3. But it really depends on the pic itself.. stuart_richardson
Thanks very much Jason. I will use that as a starting point...now I just need to create some images worthy of the process...

r s
HC, thanks. It was taken up in Oregon. Enormous sand dunes that swallowed up parts of a forest. What you're seeing are actually the top of the trees.
