adrian bastin Posted July 3, 2006 Share Posted July 3, 2006 Here are some shots from a short country excursion with a Summar I have just recieved back from CRR Luton where Peter chemically cleaned it of a little haze and repainted some element edges. The front element was very good, apart from a tiny chip, and needed no attention; there was never much problem with flair and sinse cleaning, none at all - so far - so maybe the flair assosiated with the Summar has more to do with haze and scratches. Mine were taken on Reala and I increased the yellow before de-saturating in some of them, to imitate a yellow filter. I don't have Photoshop so they're pretty straight neg scans. No cropping or sharpening (obviously maybe). Thanks David. Ronald, thanks. Yes, I have a Summicron that looks pretty good optically but this Summar is more consistent and easy to use - so far.
