When I look at a photograph, I ask myself, why did that photographer take that photograph?. What were they seeing ,and can I also see... what they were seeing and why. So, when I look at JDMvW photographs , I'm challenged to see, what he is seeing ,other than casual button pressing.. Then I look, again ,and again, and .I see photographs of forgotten places., We do not see them, or, photograph them. Unique and different photography. Forgotten places.
Luis, that first photo of the old woman entering the market store is a wonderful classic. I never tire of photos of people simply living their dignified quiet lives.
