Vivitar Ringlight Flash

I was surfing around last night and I can across Vivitar�s TTL macro

I was wondering if anyone has ever used one of these and what they

though of it. I�m assuming that it will do full TTL (not E-TTL

though) on my Elan II. I don�t do that much macro and at B&H it�s

$100 vs. $450 for the Canon MR-14EX and the Vivitar has a greater

guide no. as well. Any info would be much appreciated.

Works OK on the Elan, not at all on the digital bodies.

I have the version for Nikon TTL. Works great as sole light source or as fill. It's very small and lightweight. If you are one of those brass and leather heft and feel types you won't like it. But that's mostly the manual focus crowd anyway. Get it.
