tree
The Luminous Landscape has a comparison of the new Velvia 100F with Velvia Classic and Provia 100F: it's an interesting read, and includes scans. They've promised another review of the reciprocity characteristics soon. I can't wait.

http://www.luminous-landscape.com/reviews/film/velvia100f.shtml
carl smith
Hopefully it won't just be disneychrome 2.0, but I haven't had time to see if we have any in stick. Or is it out yet? Honestly I was disappointed enough with "classic velvia" that I stopped paying attention.
r.t. dowling
Maybe it's my imagination, or maybe it's just my monitor, but judging by the samples posted on that web site, Velvia 100F looks absolutely nothing like original Velvia.
carl smith
Ehh, its a pretty poor test I think, looking like a rather dull and overcast day it's hard to say anything. Won't know until I try it probably.
joseph_albert
According to the announcement I read in "American Photo", Velvia 100Fuses a 4th color layer technology like developed for Reala, exceptfor a transparency rather than a negative. The claim is the greensare much more color accurate than with Velvia, which suffered fromvarious problems with rendering of greens. As such, I wouldn'texpect Velvia 100F to match the color palette of Velvia classic.Rather, I would expect it to be more similar to Ektachrome E100VSin color palette, but with the ultra fine grain of Provia 100F.I still haven't tried any of it. Comparisons to Velvia classicmay well be moot as I expect Fuji to take Velvia classic off themarket fairly soon.
marshall
In the Fuji promo materials I saw, the color palette is definitely different from Velvia 50. I'll leave it to others more experienced than I to say what it looks like, exactly. I haven't gotten the test roll that was gifted to me back yet, but since I wasn't in a position to test it side by side with other films, my opinions will be much more general...
