stephen_persky
Final shot. Overall, it was a very fun day and I am happy with the results. The versatility of the lens work out great for this type of shooting. Regards Steve<div></div>
stephen_persky
OMG, I almost forgot to post my pretty little girl :) in the garden.<div></div>
barefoot
Blimey Stephen, what you been takin'. Some of these are very good :-). I especially like the one's taken at the longer end of the zoom. I dont like the bike picture - it looks too clutered. Your picture of your daughter is charming - colours are spot on. The worst pic is the one taken by the M7. Not surprising Regards, stuart

WM
Nice shots Stephen, especially of the one with the kids throwing stones into the river...............the foreground and background is just beautiful ! Love the bokeh too............. Keep on shootin'..........Wee-Ming
stephen_persky
Peter, I agree they do seem to have a lot of contrast. In these images I think it works in their favor. These are pretty much unmanipulated scans. I guess there is nothing that special about a telephoto lens. I had commented earlier about the usefulness of the 70-180 for street photography, and I wanted to post some images. I did find this form of photography very fun, and it suits my style. In most of these images I kept the shutter speed greater than 1/500sec, so I would not get any camera shake when hand holding. richie chishty
Nice photos Stephen! I know how heavy the 70-180/f2.8 lens is. I am very impressed that you were able to carry it with the R9 in your hand for a substantial amount of time. You must work out regularly! :-)
ronald_moravec1
What more could anyone want? One of these day I`ll figure how to get my scans up on photo net. I challenging photoshop elements right now, winning but its a fight.
stephen_persky
Thanks for all the compliments. I added some digital fill flash to the colored picture just as an experiment.<div></div>

karl_georg_wolf
That is a neat photo. Do not stop to keep them coming, Stephen. There are not many luggers around who dare to post pics. Thx for showing, best regards
stephen_jones4
I enjoyed these. FWIW I prefer the original, lighter version of the pretty little girl: it seems to capture a little of the summer. All the best, Stephen
doug herr
I also like the 2nd version of your girl in the garden. Photos like this are how you justify the equipment to your wife ;-)
stephen_persky
Eric, Thanks for taking the time to show me a different version of the image. I appreciate that. It help to give me something to work towards as I continue to learn photoshop. I am dying to see how Velvia will look through that setup. I use some fuji mailers, so it might be a few weeks. I managed to capture some firefighters (with the velvia) putting out a brush fire set by some delinquents. I was on my way home and the fire was in the median of the street. How about that for street photography!! I guess it pays to always have a camera with you. Regards, Steve
EricM
No worries man. A larger file is always much more enjoyable to work on, as you can tell I took it a bit far...Looking forward to your fire shots too.
