lawrence_carbonaro
I have a V96C back which was aorking fine but today when I try to attach the back to my body, the latches on the body will not fit into the slots on the back. Has anyone experienced this problem and if so, other than sending to Hasselblad for repair, is there a fix I can make at home?
Thanks
paul_gardener
Try to establish first where the problem comes from.
Does a film back attach without problems?
If yes it may mean your digital back has a problem.
If no the problem may come from the camera body.
Ed_Ingold
Hasselblad digital backs have an auxillary latch iwhich must be activated in order to release the main latch and attach the back.
lawrence_carbonaro
Hi, all my film backs engage properly, it's just the digital back not working on 2 bodies.
I am not familiar with an auxiliary latch from past use, and I cannot locate in the manual. Any assistance in accessing it is appreciated.
Thanks. Lawrence
tim_bosley1
The V96c requires you loosen the torx screw THEN disenguage the aux latch of the back from the body. It reattaches the same in reverse.
Make sure you seat the back to the lower catch 1st.
Please send me your V96c if you think it is defective :)
lawrence_carbonaro
Tim,
Your suggestion worked perfectly. THANKS. Unfortunately, I will not be sending you the back.
tim_bosley1
Good to hear your back to shooting.

I know there are newer backs available, but I think many shortchanged the Imacon/Hasselblad V96c. Maybe the lenses, but the colors are just wonderful.
