UV or Skylight filter for 40mm MF wide andgle lens?

Hi, I have Zenzanon PS 4/40mm wide angle lens in my 6x6 bronica. The

lens have 95mm filter thread size.

I am looking for field experiences from similar wide angle lens

users (zenzanon PS 40mm, Distagon 40mm). Which filter is best? B+W,

Heliopan, Hoya? The filter should not be flare sensitive. The lens

itself is already (too much?) sensitive for flaring..

My aim is to keep filter always in the lens. Otherwise the front

element of the lens is too vulnerable.

Regards,

Jukka,

FWIW, I usually keep a UV filter on the front of my lenses... whether it's UV or Skylight it

doesn't matter too, too much. Some people like the Skylight because it "theoretically"

warms up the image a tad bit.

As for the manufacturer... both B+W and Heliopan make first rate filters. I've not used

Hoya all that much so I won't comment on them.

Cheers

Thanks.

After checking prices and filter availability, I ended to B+W filter. Expensive, but has so good reputation and should not cause any vignetting because filter is quite thin. Even if it's not slim model.

Regards,
Jukka
