gan_esh
Hi all, I've always been curious about UV and IR photography, but due to various reasons, have yet to take it up yat. I basically know squat about UV and very little about IR. I was never a 'science' type of student in school so I probably don't even know the difference between ultraviolet and infrared light. I've seen some examples of UV and IR photography floating in the net, mostly landscapes and flora. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Also, do I need to modify my equipment? I work mostly indoors (I do still-life/abstract fine art). Is UV/IR applicable indoors? Thanks in advance. Cheers! On a side note..... I frequently 'x-ray' type photos of flowers in gift shops. Anyone know anything about this?
mystuff
typing "uv photography" into google gives plenty of places with info/examples, for instance... http://www.naturfotograf.com/uvstart.html http://www.rit.edu/~andpph/text-infrared-ultraviolet.html http://www.srs.fs.fed.us/4505/hanula/pollinator_studies/uv_photography.htm http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ultraviolet_photography
JosvanEekelen
Bjorn Rorslett (www.naturfotograf.com) has some info on his website. Maybe that's a good starting point. Or Wikipedia may help you.
gan_esh
I tried googling it and got to some of the sites Jos and John stated. Info was not as in-depth as I would have liked. Perhaps someone can recommend a good book. Thanx!
