tony_estcourt
Does anyone use gel filters with the older pro-shade (folding type)? The lens adapter (in my case B60) has a slot for gel filters but in use I find that gels are easily scratched when inserted. I use colour correction gels (cut down Lee types). Is there a holder that can be attached to the gels before slotting in the filter adapter ring?
kevin_kolosky
Tony I am not so sure that Hasselblad ever intended that you use gelatin filters in that little slot close to the lens. Rather, they intended for you to use the gelatin filters in the slot at the front end of the bellows. How do I know this? Because I just happen to have on hand a 51705 Gelatin Filter MOunt set of 5 for 75mm filters. I don't know what size your gels are, but if you have 75mm square ones and you want to buy this filter mount set from me you can do so. I don't even think you can buy the set new from hasselblad anymore. Kevin
alec1
I don't know about the folding shade, but with the original shade, they DID intend for the small slot to be used with gels. They made gel holders to fit that slot. I would suspect that that design carried over to the next generation as well. The slot on the front was for masks [150mm or 250mm]. Larson also made some diffuson screens which fit that front slot.
q.g._de_bakker
Cardboard mounts for gelatin filters are available that will fit in the slot in the lens coupling ring used to attach the shade. You will need the ones made for 75 mm gels (cat.no. (30)51705). They come in packs of five. They will cost approximately US$25 - 30 a pack.
