LineMartel
Yesterday I went on a hike and took some shots. Some of them have the top part blurry and I don't understand what could have happened so I can correct this and prevent it from happening...

rodeo_joe1
Maybe we could turn this into a guessing game? Not only guess the solution, but the fault as well. My shot in the dark is weather-related. Strong winds could have blown the tops of trees, giving them motion blur. Any other offers?
Ed_Ingold
I would look for a bent or damaged lens mounti, or possibly the sensor mount. If it was shot on a DSLR, focusing could be affected by the mirror position or a dislodged viewing screen. It doesn't take much of a jolt. The OP has an impressive gallery in PNET. If she gives us a little more information, she deserves a straight answer. Edited January 29, 2021 by Ed_Ingold

gerald_wallace
Any thing is possible (without more information). I like Ed's suggestions. When I purchased my Canon EOS 5D 3 a few years ago, the mirror fell out of the camera the first time I removed the camera body cap. (Canon and I, have never been able to remove the scratches from the mirror - their advice and cleaning cost me close to $$).
