jnanian
hi ihave a few (3) packets of xtol in storage. they are somewhere around 3-4 years old. are they still good? folks at kodak didn't really want to tell me one way or another ... thanks! john
frank.schifano
If the powders in the packets are not caked up the stuff is probably still good. Don't just throw it out without checking. Mix it up and test it on an unimportant piece of film before committing it to anything important.
m0002a
If they are 1-liter (or 1-gallon) packs, I would toss them. Kodak has admitted they had problems with these and has discontinued them.
m0002a
Correction, it is only the 1-liter packs that had problems.

lex_jenkins
Ditto what Mark said about the 1-liter packets. I had very inconsistent results with Xtol from one of those packets.
wayne_crider4
Interestingly I had no problems with the 1 litre packs. But if you want to throw them away and they do not feel caked I'll pay postage.
