jorn ake
That's a good lens on that thing! Look at that barn and all those nice trim angles. And the wicker on the chair.
xenotar28
Nice work, Gene. We have barns like yours by the Hackettstown, NJ area. I hope to shoot some before the developers eat them up.
gene m
Yeah, the lens is pretty sharp. I did most of the shots on a tripod as I think the shutter speeed is way off.

frank.schifano
Not bad! A bit of flare on "Cold Storage," but otherwise nice and sharp.
glenn_thoreson
Hey, I had one of those. Donated it to one of the forum members for a photography class. The lens on these things is prety doggone good but the shutter leaves a bit to desire. The speeeds on mine were all over the place. 1/300, however, hit a very accurate and consistent 1/100. I'm not picky. If I have one or two known good speeds, I work with aperure and filters to get the rest of them. Good shots!
mike_elek
I didn't know that Universal made TLRs. That's pretty cool. I guess I always think of the Mercury cameras. Like the others said about the lens -- very sharp.
glenn_thoreson
They made two models of these. Uniflex I and II. If considering acquiring one, get the model II.
andre_reinders
Love the #1 barn shot - great!
jonathan_stark
I have one of these, picked it up for cheap at a camera show. Shutter has obvious issues, probably only works it one speed. Maybe I should shoot it as is...... it was on my list of "cameras to fix someday when I get time..."
gene m
Shutter speed accuracy is overated.
laura_hruska
I've recently acquired a uniflex II and was wondering if anyone knew the exact time period when they were manufactured.
