terry_m1
Man, I wish I could have been present during this show with my R8 and long focal lengths to capture this astounding, amazing, brilliant horse and his rider! Go to this link to watch the video and be amazed! You might end up with tears of joy in your eyes!
leicaglow
I kept waiting for the punchline from the video, but there wasn't one. It would be worth taking up the sport just for the hats<g>. While it was amazing, I'm not sure still photography could have done it justice.
nancy s.
This is Dressage and this is the Grand Prix Level Free Style. I used to train dressage horses. Just so you know, the horse flicking his tail above his back as often as he does is a fault and he will lose score for this. Also, I noted a rough transition from the canter to the trot.. also points off. The horse is a pretty color and is well trained but the tail movements indicate discomfort/lack of balance and the rough tranistion down (very very difficult to bring a horse down to the next lower gait smoothly) indicates the horse still is not balanced or working off his hind legs enough. Dressage competitions are a nice opportunity for some very classy photographs of horses in competition.
nancy s.
This horse, while not as flashy as the grey, shows much much better balance and training. Note the tail hardly moves. This black horse is comfortable in all his movements and all his gaits.
