Unarchived Forum

Occasionally when I'm looking around in the unarchived forum, a

question will be interesting to me so I'll select "Notify Me of New

Responses" or whatever it is. I'd really like it if when the thread

expired the entire thing were Emailed to me, like it does if you're

the one who posted the question. <p>

I like this idea. I'll investigate how this would affect bandwidth and server load, which is the only thing that I can think of against it. Would you accept this as an *alternative* to being notified of each separate response? In other words, either you get the thread one posting at a time, or you get the whole thing when the thread expires?

I for one would actually prefer to get the whole thing at the end, rather than an email for each contribution. I should think this would have the added benefit of lessening loads on the servers - far fewer messages sent out.

I too would prefer that the entire thread be E-Mail on expiration versus the individual responses.

 

As it currently stands if I 'subscribe' to a thread that already has 5 responses then 5 more are posted I end up with 6 documents to manage - assuming I captured the thread originally. I admit this is not a Herculean task but if you're following more than a couple of threads it is a little bit of a pain.

It would be nice if it worked at all!!!!! I never get responses sent to me.

yes I would. Im likely to deleted all but the combined

responses if I ask a question. I'm not suggesting a change if one

is asking the question just in the end that's the only one I want.<br>
