Unable to post new thread from iPad

This was brought up in another thread, but I don't know that it was seen, so I'll repeat it here. The new ads are badly positioned so they cover over functional aspects of the site, at least from an iPad. See the picture below where you will notice the Nikkor ad that continually blocks the POST NEW THREAD box, making it impossible (as far as I can tell) to start a new thread on these devices. I'm traveling at the moment, so cannot start a No Words thread or any other kind of thread without borrowing someone's laptop.

 

On my ipad it doesn't look that bad (some formatting is indeed screwed up) and ad placement certainly doesn't interfere with functionality - as long as I stay in portrait orientation and don't rotate the ipad to landscape orientation. Then things turn sour - pretty much as shown above.

Dieter, thx. Didn’t even think of turning to portrait mode as I generally view stuff in landscape orientation. It shouldn’t be necessary but at least it’s a workaround. Funny, I now remember this having bben mentioned before but had obviously forgotten about it. Thx again.

Glad I could help. Didn’t even realize how screwed up photo.net is on the ipad until I accidentally turned it into landscape orientation. One really has to wonder (again) why photo.net thinks that’s ready for prime time.
