Unable to post images in threads?

Can someone tell me why I'm unable to post images in any threads? I've tried several times, but they don't 'take'...they appear muted and my name doesn't appear under the avatar.

The image has to be hosted elsewhere, and the URL inserted using the "image" function on the bar along the top of the post.

John, that's only one of the ways to post an image. The danger of that is that if you remove the image from the place it was originally hosted, which many people do, it will in future show up as a blank square or a blue question mark.

 

Another way to post photos to a thread is to hit the UPLOAD a FILE button at the bottom of the posting text window, and choose any image that's on your computer and upload that file. In order for the file to upload, it will have to be a jpg.

 

If photog1514 is still having trouble, it could easily be a glitch in PN's software or some other incompatibility. All kinds of things that should work on PN don't work for all people the same way, so you never know whether it's something you're doing that's not quite right or one of the many PN technical hiccups.

Thank you. I wasn't using the UPLOAD A FILE button...I was clicking on the 'image' icon that appears above the 'reply' field. Rookie mistake on my part.
