Unable to contact anyone

  1. Has anyone had any success contacting admin? I have been charged for a service I don't want and don't have. The contact page on the site takes me to a blank page and I have tried emailing contact@photo.net. There is also no messaging system on the FB page.

  3. Thanks Sandy. I was charged for a premium account, though I have never seen an indication that I have one. If I don't, I would like my credit card credited. If I do have a premium account, I want to remove auto renew for next year.

  5. This is the second year I have attempted to cancel my premium account. I have notified my credit card company that I will no t pay the amount as I have been paying it for several years now. This is fraud and if necessary I will pursue a legal action. Thank you.
  6. I just want to close my account, I simply don't use it and have no need for it... Anyone know how to simply remove a free profile...?

    Why is it so difficult to navigate your website? The contact tab does not yield any result. The whole thing about the photo.net website appears shrouded in mystery. While I have seen your reply, I am not entirely convinced with it. If photo.net as the beneficiary cannot refund the amount, then it indicates that it does not wish to, despite the subscriber's wish to unsubscribe. And why is one not able to speak with anyone at photo.net. Why are there no phone contact numbers visible anywhere in the website? Can one know a good reason for this? This surely looks fishy, unless i come across a reasonable clarification on this. I wish to unsubscribe immediately and do not wish to see my credit card charged by photo.net now or anytime in the future without my consent. I look forward to a quick and positive response.


  8. I don't see how anyone can be charged without first consenting to give in their credit card details, though members must be free to "cancel automatic renewal" before the year is up of course .. my understanding is that the present set up allows for that.
  9. One wonders how you came to that understanding. There have been countless complaints by members whose credit card has been charged all of whom claim to have given that information for a prior year’s membership and who now want to give up their membership, with no way to do that and no ability to directly contact administration. The poster is correct. This is both fishy and at least has the appearance of fraud. Certainly, it’s unethical. Not having a straightforward way to contact management directly appears to suggest negligence at best and corruption at worst. This has been going on for years and is a testament to administrative bad faith.

    One can be happy being a member and taking advantage of what the site does offer without turning a blind eye to its flaws.

I may well be mistaken, not having experienced it myself, it is quite possibly of course that the cancellation button if applied doesn't work and I have missed some of the correspondence in this regard. There is nevertheless a way to express that with a less insulting and dictatorial tone addressed towards a fellow member and/or the organizers of this site.

    That said, I will tell you what I find both fraudulent and unethical, it is being removed from a site for being obnoxious and then returning under an alias in order to continue being so. It is also a considerable lack of pride.

    The account can be banned which removes the Home Page.

    Banning leaves the Forum Posts and Photos in the Portfolio. A user can remove their Photos from their Portfolio prior to the account being banned.

    Please advise if you want that.

    Alternatively, you can choose simply not to use your membership account: just don't log in.


    Two comments (mentioned often and previously on similar threads):
    > Sandy, and all other Moderators are volunteers, not employees. Moderators' Traits can't access the Financials
    > Apropos the apparent difficulty terminating unwanted recurring and scheduled credit card charges at the vendor end, consider cancelling those charges via your credit card company, and/or attaining a new card, on your credit account.

  13. I want to close my account here, but no way to do that. So I went to the contact page: doesn't work. So I searched the source code of the website, found info@photo.net and contact@photo.net both came back as undeliverable. Are you kidding me? Please someone delete my account and notify me.

    And I don't want to be banned, I want my account to be gone. Ever heard of GDPR?
