Ubrella too big at times

I find using umbrella's indoor sometimes are just too big for the space shooting mostly singe subjects but sometimes 2 or 3, what would the smallest Soft box would you use, or is there another solution that I should consider, Im using a couple SB-800's,

Indoor / limited space is a problem for umbrellas and softboxes. They are just clumsy to deal with in a small space, especially the LARGE umbrellas.

Two small umbrellas might work better than one big one.

For a couple, a 2x3 softbox might work for a horizontal head and shoulders shot.

For 3, 3x4 or larger.

I've bounce off the ceiling and the WHITE wall behind me.
