Turn off Auto Adjustment in Adobe Photoshop CS2 Raw Converter

I concur with the responders to that thread regarding leaving the auto settings ticked. 90% of the time I like the results: improved highlight and shadow detail, color balance, contrast and brightness. It's the lazy way, but...

 

What I'll do is just run a batch of jpegs thus, review them, then revisit the ones where auto-settings seemed to backfire, and play with the settings.

 

Good tip on how to set defaults, will note that.
