bart feliciano
Do you think my Crown would still fold up if I tried to mount my135/3.8 Press Xenar on it?
dan_fromm2
It should, the lens is just another relatively thin tessar type. But since you have camera and lens, why did you ask us when you can ask the camera?
thirteenthumbs
With the bed open, front standard fully retracted into the body, measure from the edge of the lens board to the inside edge of the body opening trim and record. (An alternative, remove graflok focus panel and lens/board and close the bed. Measure thru the rear of the camera from the bed to the front standard lip where the lens board foward edge will be or use a empty lens board with a large enough hole to put the measuring device thru.) Next measure the distance between the inside edges of the rails and record. Now measure the lens from the rear edge of the shutter to the front edge of the front element, is it less or equal to 1st. measurement of camera body? Now measure the diamater of the front lems element barrell outter edge, is it less than the distance between the rails? If yes to both questions then lens will fit and bed will close. This procedure will work for any lens.
bart feliciano
Yep, It folds. Rangefinder had to be adjusted though. :)
