martin_pistor
Hi folks, I`shure about the forums topic. Target: Restauration/reprint of old family bw photo. Plan: Scanning, retouche and restauration in photoshop. printing out negative on transparency film with ink jet. contact print from ink jet negative. (will ensure lasting result, even selenium toning possible). problem: most films I used tend to have problems with large dark areas (they simply become to wet). Any ideas or experience? Thanx Martin
robert_landrigan
Epson makes a backlit transparency film especially for their inkjet printers, it's pricey, but i've had good results with it - not for what your doing, but for , well, backlit transparencies:). After printing, you will need to allow the prints to dry much like a silver print, in a dust-free environment for an hour or two, before handling too much. otherwise, yeah, the ink slides around and smears. john_paul_kernot1
Pictorico premium OHP transparency film seems to be the best according to Dan Burkholder.
