stephen_york3
Does anyone know if the Topcon repair person out in California is still in business? www.topcon.8m.com?
I've sent a few emails and haven't gotten a response.
Alternatively, does anyone know of a tech who has experience with the Topcon R and lenses? That's a camera from the late 50's (also known as a Beseler B).
Thanks in advance.

john_shriver
Strauss was the last place I sent a Topcon for repairs, probably 35 years ago.
Any camera repair place that's familiar with mechanical cameras really shouldn't be challenged by the Topcon R. Has a very standard "Leica style" spinning shutter speed dial shutter. There's nothing very unusual about it, no special jigs needed.
stephen_york3
Postscript -- The topcon repair tech from California (topcon.8m.com) finally got back in touch with me. So he is still in business, and yes he does repair the topcon R. Just for everyone's information.
