achristensen
How are photographs figured into the top-rated photos category? I have noticed several times that my photos (I"mreally not trying to be vain) don't appear in the category for which they were critiqued while others with lowerratings do. How are the stats figured? Do they have to have a certain # of ratings before they qualify? Do I haveto be a subscriber? How do anonymous/vs non-anonymous ratings figure? Matt Laur
An image must receive at least 5 anonymous ratings to be in the running for the default view. Also, the date range for the top-rated galleries is based on when you added the image to your gallery, not when you submitted it for ratings. joshroot
There are a number of reasons that your image might not have made it into the Top Rated Photos. -The ratings you were given might not have come through the rate-recent or rate-category interface. -You might not have had enough ratings to qualify. Each time frame has an increasing number of ratings required to qualify for the top photos in that timeframe. -You might have uploaded the image and then waited before submitting it. The 24 hour (or 3 day or one week) timer starts counting from the time the image is uploaded, not from the time the image is submitted.
achristensen
Okay, the most recent example had only 4 ratings. Makes sense why that wouldn't be there. But then how does top-rated photographer differ? My image is there.
lex_jenkins
Different search parameters will re-organize and present photos in differing orders of priority. Try the various search parameters and see the effects. It helps balance out the site for the vast number of contributors.
