The ultimate Pentax fan!

<p>It is a beautiful girl. I feel sorry that she gets the wrong camera -- it should be an MX. Wait, maybe the ME Super. No, it should have been the LX. Anyway, I hope the tattoo is removable.</p>

<p>It's a statement, right? A K1000 means that you are your own person; no fancy dials,levers, buttons, screens. You know what you want. -40F/C big deal! Leave the camera open for hours to catch star trails, no problem. Drop on a rock, a few dents are good for you. Need a weapon? Swing a K1000 and hit someone in the head, they'll leave you alone. I think Clint Eastwood was often misquoted, what he actually said was, " “I'll give up my K1000 when they pry my <em>cold dead hands</em> off of it”<br>

And batteries are options for wimps only!</p>

 

Hin, to most people under 30, the K1000 is the only Pentax in their consciousness. Many don't realize that Pentax is still

in business.

<p>I should restate my statement. I don't mean any de-meaning of the importance of K1000. I think the girl's mom has chosen the right one to tattoo on. I always love smaller and lighter alternatives and hence my preference is for MX or ME super if I was to get a tattoo. </p>

<p>Maybe she has a flash and some other Pentax accessories tattooed elsewhere, I'll check for you :-)</p>

<p>I don't think a Pentax 67 would fit on my arm!</p>

<p>I'd get a ME Super. But then again I wouldn't get a tattoo or at least don't feel like I have a good enough reason to.</p>

<p>But where could a person tattoo an image of the smc PENTAX-DA 55-300mm F4-5.8 ED?</p>

<p>But perhaps you wouldn't want the "ED" some of the places?</p>

<p>I'm just glad she didn't put a 600mm on that camera body!</p>

<p>If one wanted something small and discreet, one could get an Auto 110 tattooed on one's pinky finger. :)<br>

What a hideous addition. She'll regret it in 10 years or less. If it's real that is.

<p>Pentax cameras are spooky! If they make you do that...</p>

<p>That camera and the K 35/3.5 is just about the perfect one camera/one lens kit. Add a Vivitar 285HV flash, a tripod and a macro lens and I think it is the perfect set. She could have done much worse.</p>

<p>It is too bad she isn't a stereo camera fan because, then, she could have tattooed one lens on each "hooter" and that would have been really cool.</p>

<p>I'm not that adventurous. I only have two Pentax shaped clocks.</p>
