How --as the prologue by James L. Enyeart puts it --<I>" ...it is possible for visual language to inform and reform our learned assumptions...how a photograph functions by providing a visual grammar that elucidates the photograph's meaning."</I><P> The language is clear and thankfully free of philosophic jargon.
