She said it was created during a time when her work focused upon perception, monitoring, and psychology. The effect of her camera's "gaze" on social interactions within a space was of special interest. Sonja had access to a machine shop where she could precisely craft the parts in metal and plastic, this process took a long time with all its exacting details.
